I was never enthusiastic about the Coyle hire.  He's about as polar opposite of Gross as you can be. Again, Coyle was the polar opposite.  Maybe he made a great football hire.  Awesome.  (Actually would continue to prove the point that he's Gross' doppelganger).  Coyle was aloof, stayed away from the limelight.  Endlessly boring and bland when he actually did come out of hiding (and kept those moments as brief as possible).  And fumbled the introduction of Dino Babers at one of the basketball games.

I want another Gross.  I don't care what anyone says.  I'll take him in a heartbeat.  Someone who is clearly enthusiastic about being here and about promoting the vision for the athletic department whenever possible, and someone who is constantly making moves to bring that vision to fruition (even if not every move is a slam dunk).  I'll take a hundred Daryl Grosses any day of the week and twice on Sunday.
