I wouldn’t say it is strange on Fran’s part, actually normal. Fran is super busy and is trying to fundraise to put a winning product on the field that every Syracuse fan wants to see. if you are a big time donor, Fran I’m sure doesn’t expect them to write a check at every single outing. Fran I’m sure was looking to make a work friend not a personal friend out of Carton. There is a difference.

He lost a good opportity to get his team talked about (and probably positively) on the country's top sports talk radio station.

Boomer and Carton was a pretty big radio show. ‘The Carton Show’ probably is not. Radio takes a backseat to Podcasts, as it is, and I’d be skeptical Carton talking positively about Syracuse would reach any ears that would matter. It’s not making its way to recruits.
