CT Ethics Officials Rip "Edsall Law" As Example of why Government is Not Trusted

What a mess! Edsall still hasn’t signed his contract.
Hard to determine worst outcome - 1). Allow nepotism within the state bylaws while tacking on another 100k for Edsall’s services. 2). Losing your new head coach right before the season starts immediately following a Greg Robinson like tenure.

Are there exceptions if someone is qualified? I don’t know of the specific issues with the Edsalls but there have been quite a few father/sons on coaching staffs together. Is Connecticut unique and just has a law banning relatives or is there some other underlying issue here?

I'd say the underlying issues are abuse of power, corruption and nepotism.

Clearly, this is the biggest corruption issue in Connecticut state politics.

But wait! Didn't Jay Paterno coach at Penn State under his father?
Therefore, it must be ethical.
