Current Recruiting Effect of "The Express"

When they flashed the scores of the 1959 team on the screen, (newspaper headlines) and they weren't the actual scores- a game with North Carolina that never happened, a 34-7 win over a Penn State team we beat 20-18 in the most memorable game of the regular season), I wondered what was up. I understand the use of license but why make up fake scores?

Then came the canard about the West Virginia game, which libeled the state of West Virginia. That bothers me to this day. They also re-arranged the Cotton Bowl and produced another canard: that Ben didn't want to play his black players in the second half. The real story was strong enough that they didn't have to invent things to punch up the story.

Maybe the biggest fault was that they focused mostly on Ernie vs. racism, (which is obviously why they made the movie) more than Ernie vs. cancer and his growing relationship with Jim Brown. Now that would have made a great movie.

But if it gets good players to come here, I'm OK with that.

yeah, that one is pretty embarrassing; maybe borderline racist.

Yeah, that's what I thought - the makers of this movie don't understand racism.

Did you watch it? I admit I can watch a documentary on just about anything but my UNC wife was weeping watching that one.
does anyone know where find the sports century version from ESPN? I've done multiple searches but come up empty. ESPN has a placeholder for it, but all of the links to the video are down.
