Dont worry, the Giants also passed on Downs and are now stuck playing against him. I actually like the Miami OT but little worried about his injury risks. I would have taken Downs and just built a monster defense.

It really felt like the start of the baton was being passed from Dabo to Fran for top dog in the ACC for a moment there when the Cuse went up 24-7 and before Angeli got hurt. Miami seems like a front runner to take it right now, but they still haven’t officially won the ACC. And the Duke winning the ACC in the fashion they did was emblematic that no one has been able to take the baton from Clemson yet.

I had no problem picking the OT who will be the day one starting OG. Then Dallas trading up one spot to get Downs was ominous…

Thanks for trying to turn a thread about the draft into another conversation about the SU coach. Again, with 10 players drafted and a 7-6 record, any conversation about poor coaching should focus on the Clemson staff.

The backup QBs all sucked. And our defense sucked on top of that. There was no gameplan for QBs who can’t throw the football. That same offensive staff you are so eagerly want to hate had a fantastic gameplan for Clemson and their roster of NFL picks. I guess they coincidentally became morons after Angeli got hurt, it wasn’t that the backups were all incompetent.

I am having a hard time getting past the BS we were fed about how close the QB competition was. My trust in Fran went way down after that. At the same time, I like the guy so I would like to see us succeed.
