I stand by it because he will be able to recruit if he is going to a better conference with a better chance to play for a NC and is getting more $$$$ for the program.
Agree with you that $ over a HC's recruiting concern drives the school's decision.
But I don't agree that Clemson necessarily recruits better or has any better access to a NC by going. If FSU and Clemson stay, the ACC won't be left out of any playoff. Just won't happen. And putting Clemson as an outpost in that league will probably benefit South Carolina's recruiting more than Clemson. Gamecocks are probably praying for it to happen.
