So, I'm signing my wife up for Medicare Gap Coverage today (oh, how did I get this old?), and the Excellus guy turns out to be a friend of Doug Marrone, who also played at football at SU as a reserve. (Called him "Dougie", LOL). Big surprise was that Marrone was also reportedly a really good baseball player. Nothing about him being a candidate for the job again.

He played first base at Lehman High in the Bronx and I think he was a left handed batter and he hit a homer over the 343 ft. sign in right at Yankee Stadium in a high school all-star game. I remember him being interviewed on the Michael Kay Show on ESPN New York once and talking about it. He and Michael Kay are childhood friends from the Bronx.
