my mind works in mysterious ways... i read this Horsewomen article and for some reason recalled the bizarre bill stewart/holgorson rift with back stabbing media leaks.

i had no idea bill stewart died. he had a heart attack about a year after "resigning" from WVU. Ironically golfing with the old WVU AD.

Oliver Luck came in midway through the Stewart era and brought along the outsider Coach in Waiting which riled up Stewart in the 1st place.
