I just wrote a lengthy post about my four days in Pittsburgh that deserved a Pulitzer prize, but I managed to delete it when I went to post it. I cannot bear to recreate it. Therefore, I will mention only one part of it....

There was a huge banner, supplied by the NCAA, in front of the team hotel. It said "Welcome to the second and third rounds of the NCAA tournament in Columbus, Ohio." Apparently the NCAA sent them the wrong banner... and the folks in Pittsburgh put it up any way. I took a great picture of it, but I am too inept to figure out how to post it here.

The parts of the post about watching half of today's game with Joe Biden; partying with, among others, Greg Paulus; meeting Scoop's high school guidance counselor; and randomly sitting next to Len Elmore on the plane ride home..... are all lost into cyberspace. Sorry about that. It was a seriously great post. But it took half an hour to write it, and I can't bear to do it again.

:( Sorry Joyce. Any long post I make I do in word first.

I lost eight pages of a term paper once upon a time. You can do thissss

I think I just learned that lesson the hard way. After three straight nights of partying until 2:30 a.m. or so (with the most eclectic crew imaginable -- which was part of the post), I am too tired to re-create it.

I imagine the rest of the post just name-dropped a few other people. No big deal.

Why did I know you would say that? ;)

CTO probably made Biden stand up on the shuttle bus again.
That was Fisny who made him stand on the bus, not me. But the funny part is.... he actually reminded me of it today.

You should call someone else on the board and dictate your story to them

Joyce, did Joe the Veep know which team was Syracuse, or did you have to guide him?

Let's just open up a chat room and we can all grill CTO for a bit.

As I said in my late, lamented post, he was seriously cheering for SU and seemed reasonably knowledgable about the team. Not as knowledgable as Bill Clinton, however, when I randomly (seriously) sat directly in front of him at the Cincy game last Friday night. (And yes, I post that simply for the benefit of iommi).
