Darnit...

Yep...love triangle...cto, The Good Doctor and... uh...me? I just threw up in my mouth a little. (No offense to you, cto).:p Cue Barry White music...
Omigod, it has come to this. This whole mess started earlier this week when iommi attacked me for ... uh, being human. And now we are involved in a sordid love triangle. Things go viral fast on the internet.

Careful, CTO. Talking about things that are viral in a love triangle will damage your reputation quickly.

All kidding aside, I never "attacked" you. If I wrote a post that you took offense to, my sincere apologies. I've never even met you (well, other than that sordid love triangle thang). <---- That's me and my bald head, blushing.

This board takes some really bizarre turns.

Oops. Maybe I should have put quotes around "attacked"... or filled that post with lots of smileys. I did not consider it an attack... I mean you were just giving me crap about "name-dropping" and about my mentioning my friend Ray who was dying (who, by the way, died this morning) or something. Just a normal day at the office for me.

Sorry about your friend, Joyce. May he RIP.

Very sorry to hear about your friend, CTO. Very sad to hear.

cto: Please go back to that thread, you are confusing me with someone else. I was not the poster who gave you crap about mentioning your friend, Ray. That was someone else. Sorry to hear the bad news. I'm dealing with a cancer situation in my family right now. There's nothing worse. God Bless your friend and may he Rest In Peace.

here's what I wrote: CTO, in your thread "a Little Perspective:

First off, best of luck to Joyce's friend, Ray.

As to her other points, I certainly think my opinion is valid. One thing I'll say is that she's friends with the Boeheim's, so of course, she's going to go to bat for JB.

To her points:

1-3) I am aware that it's basketball-first for kids. But isn't there a supervisory responsibility here? If #51 was given 2nd and 3rd chances...shouldn't he also have been given a shorter leash? How about a strict curfew? Or is going to Chuck's mandated. #51 is selfish and immature but after the first suspension, he should not have been allowed to play unless certain academic parameters were followed. The ball was dropped, that's for sure.

4) I have not much to add here. JB did a good job keeping the team focused on the court...I never said he wasn't a great coach. It's his laissez faire attitude about what his players do off the court, as Jake put it, that I am critical about.

5-6) Again, best of luck to Joyce's friend. I don't take this stuff too seriously, I post on a message board. It's not my life. It's an interest I am passionate about.
If we cannot give our passionate criticisms of our coach on a message board, where can we do so?

My apologies. You and I had some give and take in that thread in which someone criticized me for mentioning Ray. I apologize for misrepresenting what you said. I learned about Ray when I got home tonight. His passing was a blessing, but as I said the other day, he was a true saint who dedicated the last 25 years of his life to helping the less fortunate.

No worries... I'm glad your friend is in a better place now. Sounds like he left a lasting legacy. Again, my condolences.

Sad for your friend.
Hows about you open a chat room later today ( after you get oh two or three hours shut eye) then we can give you the fifth degree.

We've graduated to content analysis. Someday there is going to be a "History of Syracusefan.com" course at Newhouse. Either that or a reality tv show about it.

Condolences to you, Joyce, and to the family and friends of your friend.

I always love your posts. My kids know to scout you out on TV.

I think you could beat any of the current candidates in either party for the Presidency. Seriously. The only candidate ever who probably has met every single voter!

Ms. CTO because of the First 4 games in Dayton now the NCAA is calling the round of 64 the "second" round so kids in the First 4 don't feel like they part of the tournament. Thus, the round of 32 is technically the Third round. Its stupid and has been changed just so the NCAA spin to the 8 teams playing in Dayton they aren't playing in play-in games. So, the sign in front of the hotel was correct.

Except it said Columbus, Ohio not Pittsburgh, PA.

As I said in my late, lamented post, he was seriously cheering for SU and seemed reasonably knowledgable about the team. Not as knowledgable as Bill Clinton, however, when I randomly (seriously) sat directly in front of him at the Cincy game last Friday night. (And yes, I post that simply for the benefit of iommi).
With your "random" connections, I want to know why your not running the university.

Technically, she does. Along with her fellow trustees. TWO reports to them.

My condolences Joyce.
Condolences Joyce. For every good thing that happens in the world, something bad must also happen.

It's true. Every time Dion Waiters swishes a three, a guy in Thailand gets punched in the nuts. It's the Waiters-Bangkok Theory.

I think I just learned that lesson the hard way. After three straight nights of partying until 2:30 a.m. or so (with the most eclectic crew imaginable -- which was part of the post), I am too tired to re-create it.

This is my favorite part. We had to of run into each other at some point. Pitt is such a great city... we had a blast every night.

Looking forward to Boston...
