Noah Vonleh has two dream programs

At this point, mere games into elite sophomores junior seasons, Andrew Wiggins (Toronto, Ont./Huntington Prep) resides at the top of the ESPNU 25 rankings. He is a super freak of a 6-foot-7 prospect and he will be difficult to unseat, but there a number of challengers, including Noah Vonleh (Haverhill, Mass./New Hampton).

Use brower if doesnt work

Anyone got scoop on this guy including video?

Francis has a nice writeup on him in his blog...

Kenny Anderson had a dream school too. And he dreamed of playing with Billy Owens and winning a title. But he also dreamt of dollar signs...which Cremmins gladly gave him to go to GaTech.

I always get skeptical when I hear "dream school". If that IS the case, and SU HAS offered, then I say "Show Me, Noah". Pull the trigger already.

Thanks for your excellent site and links Francis. Whose game would you compare him to most? He kind of looks like a cross between KJ and CJ to me which is pretty darn exciting. What are our chances of landing him?

Thanks for the kind words. Not sure who I can compare him to at this point, but the KJ/CJ isn't a bad one. What makes him intriguing is that he can play the 3/4 on offense and has terrific size and length (7-3 wingspan) for the zone. As for landing him, I think we'll be a player in this one as long as Hop is around.

We never seem to get the kids that list Syracuse as their dream schools.

It's my recollection that we passed on Doron Lamb ... kinda of a headd ccase back then

Thank you.

But, hey - on a few of the recruiting profile pages i'm seeing online, Syracuse isn't even listed... What up with that? ...if we 'discovered' him, or if we're a "dream school?"

[edit: I re-read Francis' blog comment... Sorry. So, JB 'discovered' him sorta like Columbus discovered America. You mean SU only developed interest "over a year ago" — not that we were the first school to regard him highly. Right?]

He looks good. Real good. I think it's appropriate re-state Carmelo Anthony's importance in our recruiting. In the handful of current 'superstar' players, only a few attended college. Having Melo linked to us so strongly is a beautiful thing.

Thank you.

Similar to Anthony Davis, Vonleh was pretty much unknown when JB checked him out last year. SU definitely regarded him highly first before others such as Kansas and Pitt came to show interest after. As in the case with Davis, Vonleh blew up during the AAU's and summer events. Which now leads us to the current situation where he is now considered the top player and wanted by everybody when a year ago nobody hardly knew who he was.
