Per Schwartz, and I paraphrase, "...I dont know what Boeheim knew or suspected if anything."

My heart bleeds for him, it really does. His life has been ruined and he gets the benefit of the doubt in my book. But in this bizarro world of a case, why did he say JB saw him on Bernie's bed and and gave the proverbial roll of the eyes? Is that reconciable with his statements tonight? I suppose so, but barely.

That aside, Davis' comment tonight, if accurately summarized by Schwartz, seems very very helpful Not only that he has no idea if JB suspected anything, but how pleased he was with his comments. If we eliminate the possibility that JB knew anything, and I pretty much have, it remains hard to imagine this = action against JB.

How can he say that... after he said JB saw him and Bernie together in a bedroom? That statement by him... is what prompted JB's initial statement of outrage.

Agree 100%. And that establishes why I believe that JB's initial denials won't land him in hot water as some seem to think.

Yep. It is just another thing that makes zero sense in this story. I am still only 85% convinced Bernie is guilty of having sexual relations with Davis before he was 17. I am 99.9% convinced Bernie had relations with him after that.

Wow... the BOT speaks. I guess we know there was at least one voice of reason in the marathon sessions today. My guess is there were many.

Frankly, I think the BOT ultimately had no choice on JB. There is no rational reason for him to lose his job - as long as he apologizes and falls in line with his future public statements. Actually, firing JB has its own risks. JB would likely come back and say - 'well, my public statements were based on the University telling me they had conducted a 4 mos. long investigation resulting in BF getting a clean bill of health. Then they fire me because I relied on the competence of that investigation!?'

It would have opened an entirely new can of worms. The University needs to co-opt JB and get his story and theirs tight. (True... and tight.. (said with Mike Myers as Goldmember accent))
