We as fans seem to do a lousy job of remembering that guys making an impact the second they hit campus is rare, and that Syracuse can win with guys who don't really make an impact until Year 2 or 3 or 4. It's a model that works elsewhere, and I would love to see it work here.Good to see Hatcher making plays. He had an impressive offer list, which included UVA, so they're familiar with him.
Would love to see him take the breakout star award this year.

Agree with this. For a spot like WR, there are things they can do in year 2, but we just have to remember that the strength to beat a bump and run from a 4th or 5th year DB might not be easy, or blocking that DB.
Unfortunately at WR, we don't have enough impact talent in the older players.
Glad Hatcher was able to preserve the redshirt year (I think?).
I am not good at breaking this stuff down, but I just love that there is true competition at the QB position. I think it will bring the best out of all of the guys.

The Villari throw over the middle was to Gadsden. Folk was covering him.

I liked the Gadsen picture best. Liked that it showed how jacked his arms are. Our WRs have been physically dominated by ACC CBs for too long. We need some strong and physical play by our guys if we want to get our passing game going this fall.I lover the pictures.
Which is your favorite?

It's super weird that a program in a Dome hasn't had killer QB coaches. As will a true, and highly well respected position coach.
Dome ain’t a bank account. It's super weird that a program in a Dome hasn't had killer QB coaches.
True, but of all the position coaches, wouldn't you think this would be the one to prioritize/would have a unique program selling point?Dome ain’t a bank account.
I had never seen Hatcher until he got on the field late last year in a game I was at. He immediately stood out to me physically. Just had that look of a stud WR.Agree with this. What do you think they would say:”boy these guys are terrible”, or “I can’t see why they kept the coach, they should have won a lot more games.”I'm curious how Anae and Beck would assess the talent at UVA vs what we currently have.
It bottles the mind. It's super weird that a program in a Dome doesn't attract better wide receivers.
