Most of the teams have very limited access to camps. Most just have that one opportunity to view the team pre-season. The staff decided to eliminate that opportunity this year.no access stuff stinks , all the secrets and hush hush is all BS and paranoia. Games come down to blocking and tackling either you do or you dont. Have a Friday night practice open it up to fans kinda like the spring game without the game , that's how you build your fan base !
Since your son entered kindergarten, Syracuse has had exactly 4 winning seasons - 04, 10, 12, 13. And aside from an incredibly fun closing stretch by the 2012 team, none of those team were particularly good. The last great Syracuse team was 2001, which featured Dwight Freeney. That's how you build your fan base !
Boooooooooooooooo
I would guess if you go up for the weekend they will let you watch. I am missing fan fest this year unfortunately took the wrong week end off before they announced date and some one else took the fan fest weekend. But I do agree getting the fan base excited during the off season is needed to get more butts in the seats during the season. Letting them connect with players and becoming invested in them before the season starts. More interviews more pics and videos and at least a couple open practicesBoooooooooooooooo
Most of us live to far away to make it up for the limited time we get to see the kids. Driving 6 hours to see himfor 2 hrs and drive back 6 is A bit much and I live closer than mostI was going up this weekend but my son said no , not a sole is at practice and he doesn't want to be the only player with a parent there which I understand, im a schockef nobody goes to see there kid practice

If parents are allowed in practice, some random walk on may suddenly have a slew of parental figures in his life, all suspiciously members of this board...Most of us live to far away to make it up for the limited time we get to see the kids. Moe Neal's dad goes to a lot of practices. So I do know sometimes parents are let in lol. I've heard of a few other parents going once and a while but not much. I would love to go but again it's a hell of a drive for the couple hours I'd getIf parents are allowed in practice, some random walk on may suddenly have a slew of parental figures in his life, all suspiciously members of this board...

I'm sure you could find many volunteers here to be Shy's step-step-dad.Moe Neal's dad goes to a lot of practices. So I do know sometimes parents are let in lol. I have a lot of those type stories lol. Shy had a knee injury sophomore year that we thought might put him out. On Wednesday after the injury he decided he could play if he had a brace. I took 2 days off from work to drive around buying braces to get them approved by the team trainer for him to play Friday. The following week they got him a custom made one by didn't have enough time to get it made for Friday. I spent 2 days and A few hundred dollars for him to play 1 game3 hrs 20 min drive not bad . Here is a true story , when Td was 10 he was to attend a camp that you had to use there balls , I could not get a clear answer as to what ball it was so being the detailed nut that I am when it comes to football I saw that the camp the week before was in philly the week before our Nj camp a 2 1/2 hr drive I drove on Sunday morning walked onto the field took a ball watched 15 mins of the camp and drove back to watch my other son play baseball 5 hrs round trip !!! Yes I'm nuts ! I would walk to cuse if I had to

I may be wrong but I think Syracuse had/has the same policy that the media can't post until after they leave practice.
Getting a little ahead of myself but I see these two as a McNabb to Harrison type in two years. They both will put up big numbers. Butler and Foster are my two breakout players for this season.
