You don’t think upbringing has anything to do with it? Couldn’t disagree more. Did he make a good decision? No. Should he have been hanging out with those people? No.
I’m not going to speak to his upbringing because I don’t know. But I will speak to guys upbringing that I knew. Some went to Corcoran and some went to Fowler. These kids upbringing, culture and environment often times made it 10X harder to make it. I’m talking drugs in the house, guns, gangs, no father or mother OR no parents at all.
With that upbringing, how are you supposed to know how to make the right decisions.
Everyone deserves a second chance. I’m a different person at 38 than 17/18. Furthermore, isn’t that was college sports is partly for? To grow and be part of something bigger than yourself?
I’ll ask you this. Where is this kid better off. In the situation he’s in? Or far away from the situation?
Maybe I’m off here but didn’t you not want Alton Robinson here either? He seems to have learned and grown.
