Class of 2025 DB J’Vari Flowers (FL) Offered

I have no info but would guess we have a good shot at him. He has visited SU last summer, camped and won defensive MVP. I think the fact that he reclassified to 2025 should help our cause as he has a good shot at making an immediate impact with the youth we have at CB and little on field experience they have. I also like that we get a Friday visit near the end of his officials tour. Hopefully we get an above average weather day.

I think with the Miami guys, and guys down south in general, you have to put in the conversation the importance of focusing on you, and getting you ready for the next level without distraction.

Other teams will say it gets cold up here in winter, and yeah we get all four seasons in full. We're glad they brought winter up though, winter is something that makes us special, that builds next level toughness. We are the only school with the ability to develop your versatility to play games indoors, or outdoors in any weather, better preparing you for the real conditions of the NFL.

Leave no question in an NFL scouts head that you can make that 4th quarter play in any stadium, because you are from Syracuse, you're tougher and more prepared than everyone else.

If he values the D.A.R.T. philosophy, we have a legitimate shot.
You can no longer say that Syracuse doesn't recruit with the big boys.
If Fran can somehow pull a rabbit out of his hat this year and win 10 or 11 games against this schedule.
Then he will have his chance at the Glory Days and being in position to possibly play for a National Championship in a few years.

I agree but that is a VERY BIG if. That would practically be a miracle with our schedule.

Honestly, all we need to do next year is win 6+ games to keep the bowl streak alive.

It’s a brutal schedule, so any additional W’s beyond that are gravy on the icing for the ‘25 season.

Then we can gun for double-digit W’s again in ‘26 and subsequent seasons.

Yeah that’s kind of where I’m at. To me it all comes down to what we get with QB play. If we get fairly solid QB play we should be able to win 7 games. 8 games would be really good with that schedule. I mean last year in the regular season 8 games is what we would have won last year had we didn’t pull out the Miami game. Considering how difficult the 2025 slate is I’d really like to just get 7 but 6 would probably be adequate. As long as we are conpetitive in most of the losses.

Don't underestimate Fran and this staff, I expect growth not only in the players, but the staff.
Nixon will find a way to keep the offense running at a high level. On defense the youngsters will be a lot better.

We need to focus on the ACC portion of our schedule. Get to the championship game is what matters.

I think people are way overrating where we are at. We won 2 games where we were behind in the last minute winning in OT. This with a great QB and a much softer schedule than the one we face next year. If we win 6 games, I will be happy. 7 would be amazing.

I agree. Kyle was the biggest reason we won more than six games last year. Without him, I’m not sure we would have won six. We have major questions all over the field. Most importantly, we have no clue who our quarterback will be. That’s a problem in itself.

What are you talking about? It's either Willams or Collins. Not exactly a huge mystery. The coaches know it. Everybody knows it.

We still don’t know if either has the chops for the position. We know who’s on the roster, I’m just saying we don’t know if either is up to the job. That was not the case with Kyle. SU has one if the biggest quarterback questions in the ACC. Might one if them knock it’s out of the park? Maybe, but no one can say it for sure when they walk on the field in Atlanta against Tennessee.

I agree. I won’t underestimate them as they are fantastic. But even with last years roster, in the 2025 regular season we would win 8 games max with one of the hardest schedules in the country. And you have to think we take a slight step backward this season without one of the best QB’s in the country. QB is just such an important position.

You could say that about MOST if not EVERY other team.
