Looks like we're gonna have a pretty solid DB crew, with or without Duce.

But, here's hoping maybe he can be swayed into staying for (what is most likely) his final year in college.

More tangibly, pairing Duce and Gould would allow greater flexibility matching-up with opposing WRs (similar to what the Baltimore Ravens are able to do having 2 All-Pro CBs in Marlon Humphrey and Marcus Peters).

Lot of NJ and Northeast kids who go all over the country when they start out as freshman too and that is certainly understandable but If they want to get closer to home and see a solid path for playing time.. we are a great option a really great option

A four-star cornerback who signed with Nebraska out of Oradell (N.J.) Bergen Catholic, Gould entered the portal and now has Syracuse, Maryland, Kansas State, UCLA and Cal as the most active schools after him. Gould will visit the Orange this weekend.

FYI Gould was listed as a DB on the Nebraska roster which could indicate CB or Safety but seems he was referred to as a Safety there by other reports. He was only a 3rd string safety but really they only had 2 other true freshman listed on the depth chart at all. But they were actually both starters at LB and Corner.
