Class of 2028 DE Arthur Jones IV (NY: CBA) Offered

I honestly don't think Marvin thinks highly of Syracuse. Very disappointing.
Well with the way Fran has been repairing relationships with former Cuse players, why not add Marvin to that list? You get one of your best all time players thinking highly about your program, and you try and land Jett Harrison 🤷

You can try, but I always got the feeling Marvin saw it as only business. It's more that he's apathetic than snubbed like some other guys have felt. I could be wrong, though. I have no inside knowledge, but love to get incite from people that do.

With his dad's and uncle's name on the weight room he is already royality and I would also be very shocked if he went anywhere else.
Couldn't fault him if he wants to pave his own way elsewhere but sure as hell hope he stays home.

As a player, he's more like his uncle than he is his father. Not sure what Art looked like in High School but he's long and lean like Chan. Does need to strengthen his base and really blast through tackles. He is quick, smart and has great vision. Few hundred reps on the squat rack and he will demolish players to finish tackles.

He is only 15 so a lot of room to grow.

Oh for sure and I wouldn't hit the weights super heavy, or have my kid do so, until a bit older. Don't want to risk compacting growth plates. If Arthur's wingspan is any indication he's probably going to be 6'6 like Chan vs 6'3 like now. That's potentially worth millions at the NFL combine.

Talk about elite athletic genes as well, good lord. Not sure there's ever been 3 brothers like Art, Jon, and Chan athletically.

Speaking from personal experience, losing my dad at 15 was a strong reason I stayed somewhat local for college rather than go far away from my mom and little sister. Everyone has their own path to follow so who knows where he'll land.

Looks like a BEAST for a Sophomore. Really hope he continues the family tradition at Syracuse. Who knows how he will grow but if I had to guess I see him coming into college as a 6'5" 265-270 lbs do it all DE. Strong and explosive off the edge who should be able to excel in both in the run game and at pass rush. I foresee lots of TFL's for the young Jones.

It really is remarkable how talented and physically gifted that family is.

He will undoubtedly be watching intently on the progress of our program. We do have some key advantages. SEC and B10 will come will heavy bags if he keep on this upward trajectory.
