I think that either Pitt or BC should always be our opponent for Homecoming Weekend. It should always be a good game against a traditional foe.
Who wants to see Cupcake College or Football Factory U. for that big weekend? It will usually not be that great a game (for different reasons). The same argument could be made for Parent's Weekend.
Yep - with family obligations and travel, I will probably never see another SU-BC game in person.I'll never like BC on Thanksgiving weekend,
Just adds to my ACC misery.
My feelings also...but, the ACC wants to promote a rivalry game in the last week of the regular season.Really wish Pitt and BC games were 1.) alternating home/away so that we didn't play both at home or on the road the same year. 2.) Really, really, really wish BC game was NOT on Thanksgiving weekend (sometime in October-early, so we could go to both home and away games that would increase interest in "rival game").
Florida State, Clemson, Louisville-Atlantic
Georgia Tech-Coastal
all play SEC teams Thanksgiving weekend.
The 4 NC schools UNC-Duke, Wake-NC State or UNC-NC State, Wake-Duke will always play each other Thanksgiving weekend.
Virginia-Virginia Tech have always been Thanksgiving week rivals.
That leaves Syracuse, Boston College from the Atlantic, and Pittsburgh, Miami from the Coastal.
We are stuck with BC-SU and Pitt-Miami being Thanksgiving rivals unless divisions are realigned.
Unless Penn State-Pitt became Thanksgiving rivals the Big ten won't let one team be forced to have a bye week during that weekend.Or until we schedule Rutgers as our Thanksgiving rival.

Syracuse-BC is going to remain for a while.
How about we take on Rutgirls and make this a ACC, Big Ten (that can't count to 14) thing! So then Penn State and Pitt become Thanksgiving rivals. It's all coming together. Everyone plays their P5 rival on Thanksgiving weekend.
