yes so by the time they are on campus he is a Sophmore. Figure it takes them a year to adjust, so he's a Junior by then.

Plus their top recruit Jalen Hurd tore his labrum in his first HS game. 2nd straight year with shoulder surgery. Not good for a RB

I don't know that their existing talent is below ours. Maybe not all of the freshman will take a year to adjust. Don't we have freshman that we think may have an impact this year? You make it sound as if it's guaranteed they'll suck until he's at least a junior. It may be the case, but it's not guaranteed. Believe me I want them to. The only thing worse in Knoxville than a depressed UT fan is a gloating one, but if recruiting is the lifeblood of a program, Butch Jones is off to a good start. Unlike his predecessors, he's also proven that he knows how to be a head coach too.

2nd string D-lineman tend to get a solid amount of PT. 2nd string as sophomore may mean starting as an upperclassman. Neither of our starters this year were 1st string last year.

All speculation at this point. We have no idea how good Ebo will be in college nor do we know how deep Clemson's talent is.

Still would've had a better chance to play early at Syracuse, let alone be coached by the HC and Daoust - who will be a DC somewhere soon.

Not to totally change the thread but was anyone else surprised that Dauost didn't get the defensive coordinator job here? I thought he was brought here to be a potential replacement in case Shafer took a head coaching job somewhere else.
