Deer Bud Poliquin, J. Slater and Syrascusefan

I'm probably not going to make it this year but after the last road trip word got out. There will probably be a bigger crowd this year depending on our record. You can check Tigernet for anyone who is coming up on a bus or chartering a flight. Several companies around the state offer those travel packages for road games. You'll instantly be greeted by morons, but its just hazing the newbs and it means they like you.

Ranking the 2015 Road trips - #1 Syracuse

Do you guys have a group coming to the Dome this year? In November, you might get to see a little snow. It would be fun to get together for a few and b.s.

The player should be forced to sit for a quarter or even an half before being allowed to return.
Overkill. Stingers happen. I've had a few of those in my time. A four play minimum wouldn't be unreasonable, but would be difficult to keep track of for refs. If the clock is forced to stop, should be minimum 4 play absence.

Should point out that Central NY has an embarrassment of riches in winery's and craft breweries as well if that's your thing.

And the holy lands, aka Tullys and Wegmans.

Tullys is only good for one thing, chicken tenders. Everything else there is awful including the beer choices and stale popcorn. The hairy wings are enough to make me run out the door and never go back. Seriously they are hairy, look close the next time somebody here goes.

There's choices besides buffalo tenders and miller lite?

Beating LSU would be like going to Disney for me.
...never been to Disney

But we have beaten LSU:

No, no there's not. Just keep ordering those and you'll be fine!

Last time I was there they had 20+ local breweries stuff. Was shocked

I met Bud at the Chiefs hot stove night as he said he was not a Syracuse U. sports fan(forgot who he roots for) But he is getting paid to write articles...that's all
Bud is a UCONN grad and is not a fan of sports, IMO.

I don't know how somebody who's evervplayed the game could come to this conclusion.

Great to hear (?), lol. I think those must have been the same Clemmies that sat behind me a couple seasons ago at the Dome (after some SU "Fans" sold their souls). Quite amazing how loud, obnoxious, and insulting they were (at least one fight ensued, and one of them was escorted out of the arena). But I give you the benefit of the doubt, and assume they were unrepresentative bottom feeders. I look forward to meeting all those polite Clemson fans I've heard about.

Why? I think it makes sense for two reasons: 1) It addresses the fake injury issue by penalizing anyone who fakes an injury and 2) it helps with the recent initiatives to protect injured players, including those who might have head injuries -- this way the medical staff won't feel rushed to perform the concussion protocol so the player can pass and get back on the field --- they can take their time with the injured player are really observe them before being allowed to return.

Or, players will be less likely to reveal real injuries if they have to sit out for an extended period, thus exposing them to further, more serious injury by not coming out of the game to get checked out, thus countering your stated benefit #2.

A lot of small injuries just need a minute or two of "walking it off" to get better. Haven't you ever turned an ankle that required you to walk around for a minute for the pain to subside and then you could resume normal activity? It's happened to me several times. Another example, a dislocated finger can be fixed in about 30 seconds on the sideline with no long-term danger to the player. If he can stand the pain, why not let him play?

Yes, unfortunately we aren't immune to jerks, either. Sorry about that.

No worries. I know how it works .. there are some SU "fans" in the same boat. I just happened to be sitting in an unlucky section 2 seasons ago (near folks I thought were loyal STH's). At any rate, by most accounts, the SU fans who went down to Clemson returned with glowing reports about how politely they were greeted (the booing incident notwithstanding).

I think the first point is valid. My suggestion that the player sit out an extended period (1/4 or a 1/2) would only be required when the game is stopped to attend to an injured player. So the minor injuries like stingers, dislocated fingers and some cramps wouldn't come into play assuming the player can make it to the sidelines.

Weird isn't it? I personally buy my tickets because I love the program. I would never think of selling my seats to the biggest opponent of the year in the Dome. I would give them away to friends, family, or even donate them to a local charity before I sold them online at a 400% markup.

The money's not worth it, unless you're desperate (or not really a fan in the first place, as you point out).
