A few missed tackles and didn't hold on the 4th and 9 but otherwise played pretty well.
Only gave up 305 yards and 5 yards rushing. Rutgers ran 95 plays and their average gain was 3.2 yards.
11 tackles for loss with 5 sacks is oustanding to.
The DB's I thought played well especially Keon Lynn with a bum shoulder. He was very good in coverage. It's tough facing 57 passes and they didn't really break.
The best part of this showing by the defense is next year they return 8 of 11 players who started yesterday's game; along with Chandler Jones and Shamarko Thomas. (I believe Torrey Ball is a senior - If not they return 9 guys who started yesterday. There is a lot to look forward to with this defense.
Now the offense...head scratcher. Hackett aside, I think the bottom line is we're still woefully under talented. I don't like the way they've used Bailey but whatever, the line is poor and there really aren't any impact skill guys. The scary part is there isn't anything in the pipeline either. They need to recruit better on offense - period.
