How about these numbers...

We allowed 70 or more points just 4 times all season (Albany, NC St, Providence, St John's). Our margin of victory was 19.8 in those games. No wonder teams try to slow our games down to a crawl.

We allowed under 60 points a stellar 13 times.

Last year, we allowed 70 or more 11 times, though we allowed under 60 points a whopping 17 times.

Our fantastic 2010 season saw teams score 70 points 15 times.

I don't know if this shows just how great the defense has been or how slow teams are playing against us. I think it's a combination of both, with many teams slowing it down in order to give themselves a chance to win.

I don't want to take anything away from our team, but the Big East is less talented than last year and 2010 as well. There is no Greg Monroe, Kemba Walker, Austin Freeman, DaShaun Butler, etc.
