We'll never know if Carney can play Nixon never gave him a chance. Maybe Nixon needs to go and it would have been better to keep Barr. At least in his travels he has shown he can adjust to whatever talent he has at QB.
Unfortunately Nixon is a one trick Pony and he hasn't shown any ability to adjust. The defense has had to put up with an offense that doesn't work for 7 games. So I don't blame Erob and the defense. The blame is on Fran, and Nixon. Fran because he allowed Nixon to continue to call the same plays with QB's who couldn't execute the plays.
Nixon needs to be gone.

His throwing mechanics is awkward. it’s pretty obvious the few times he has thrown.

I can buy that Luke's not that good, it's just crazy that Collins and Filardi have been so comically terrible that somehow the belief in Carney is lower than what we've seen on the field. Nothing makes sense.

We need a major upgrade at tailback. We need strength and powerful backs. Our backs have poor vision and an inability to make guys miss. Our backs look like they are running in mud. Fran recruited all this speed, but its track speed, not football speed. There’s a big difference.
 
Key is a fraud at GT. Pitt up 28-0 early in second quarter. He’s a meathead. They can’t defend the pass at all.

I agree but the OL needs to actually create holes as well.

Our biggest issue since McNabb...Cuse has been unable to put to together several 8 to 10 win seasons in a row to build real momentum.

A 5 or 6 win season would have been enough this year. 8 straight losses (assuming next week’s results) and the most lopsided SU loss since President Benjamin Harrison was in office has undone any good will with the fan base.

and 8 straight blowout losses to boot, we are not competitive that's the worst part, we are at the level of an FCS team
