Depth Chart 2 deep for Rhode island released

Clark is listed 2nd on the depth chart.

Next year could be scary on the OL. Four Sr. starters this year.

I know, sorry wasn't clear. During the summer, it was a battle between him and two other for the second spot. Looks like he won it.

Why is the immediate assumption always negative. Great job by Shanley for earning the spot.

The local kid walkon. Great story.

Exactly. If he's more consistent and knows his assignments that's a huge positive.

To be good, you have to have good kids coming , good kids staying and good kids going. We have been planning for this with all of the o-line recruits we have been bringing in .

Gotcha.

Shafer speaks highly of freshman QB Eric Dungey's development. He's listed as the co-backup with rSo. Austin Wilson.

@Stephen_Bailey1 wow though he would be the back up

.@MikeCoseo2 Blocking was his issue during the spring. Route running/catching passes hasn't been a problem.

Just a reminder if you haven't seen the thread... there will be a chat hosted by Tom with Bailey on Monday, 8/31 at 8:00. I am sure some of you will have questions.

OL, maybe more than any other position, really relies on experience and not just skills or potential. To replace 4 starters will be a tall order. Hopefully several of the back ups can get some solid time (not due to injury).

Custis could be involved in red-zone packages. Lester said it will depend on situation/personnel.

If you had to do a look alike would have to go with Daniel Bryan -

Not to split hairs but it still would be 3 starters to replace next year. Palmer is a redshirt junior and Shanley is a 4th year senior. He should still have another year of eligibility. He likely would be awarded a scholarship in 2016 if available.

Why would he need a scholarship when his father is a University employee?

I would expect a lot of runs to the right side next year. Could see shanley/Roberts splitting like trudo/foy did in 2012.

That would be a little better. The way it lists kids makes it look like Palmer is the only returnee.

BC is replacing its entire line this year.

Let's see if they miss a beat.

Their OL will. Won't be as good as last year. They need to hope other positions improve enough.
