Sure. You can feel that way. All of that being said, DC was ahead of his time. Sure he had issues - he could have been one of the all-time greats in the NBA if not for a number of factors - blood clots, his personal habits, etc. That doesn’t diminish the fact that he was absolutely one of the best college players of all time. Was that Kenny Anderson at the end? Listen you dumbarse, you had a chance to play with him and win a championship in college but you backed out and took a bag. Yeah, you went to the FF with Tech, but you’d have a trophy if you put on the Orange jersey.
For the record, I was bashing Kenny Anderson, not DC.Sure. You can feel that way. All of that being said, DC was ahead of his time. Yeah, but that free throw in 87...For the record, I was bashing Kenny Anderson, not DC.
DC is one of my all time favorite Orangemen, always will be despite his recent spats with SU. Just a dominant player. The original Windex Man.

IMO, best SU player I ever watched. (Didn’t see Bing)For the record, I was bashing Kenny Anderson, not DC.

My recollection is he, too, missed the front end.I think he made one of two.
I thought he hit one of two. I have tried to block that ending out of my mind. I do remember wanting Monroe to get the ball.My recollection is he, too, missed the front end.
Well if the senior, a minute before that ,doesn't miss the front end of a one and one the game would have been over before DC's miss.Yeah, but that free throw in 87...

I believe he just missed the backend, after his miss we played an ole’ defense because we were afraid to foul and IU came down and scored in like 4 seconds. What could have been a 4 point lead and we could have dropped back into our regular D became a one point game in a matter of seconds. It hurts typing this.My recollection is he, too, missed the front end.
Yeah, I could be misremembering. Still, Sr.I thought he hit one of two. I have tried to block that ending out of my mind. I do remember wanting Monroe to get the ball.
If it weren’t for the emoji this is a stiletto worthy post.Yeah, but that free throw in 87...

I literally had repeating dreams of DC blocking Keith Smart’s shot. Those actually ended in 2003.I intentionally misremember that game, or the ending at least!

I think it was Triche who missed the back end before Derrick. I think it was Smart who scored almost immediately after his miss which made it a one point game before the final sequence.100%! And, just before his front end miss, Monroe, missed the back end of his and went 1-2.
All these years later, it still pains me so.
