I'm hoping GMII steps up. He was a heckuva special teams guy down the stretch last year. One of the few positives. Maybe he's worked hard this off-season and figures he's got one shot left to leave it all on the field in no matter what capacity. Would be quite a nice thing for the program if a Jo-El Shaw was able to red-shirt because a GMII was able to contribute to the RB position along with Fredericks and Strickland with a smattering of Erv and Moe and Perkins.

Sorry to see Devonte leave. I thought he was our best RB going into last year. He hed a bad year but I was hoping for a comeback. The safety idea was a good one but that ship has sailed, unfortunately.

His first two years here he averaged 6.1 yards per carry., including an 86 yarder vs. Wake Forest.

Man I hope he changes his mind and the staff trys him out as a DB. Difference in Chances of playing at the next level as a P5 DB vs 1AA RB are pretty big. And we need all the talent we can get in the defensive backfield.

He would have been if what his role was wasn't switched every other year with new offensive coordinators. He had the talent to be a great RB for us, especially if Marrone and Hackett stayed.
