I hope they move soon because it’s a disgrace how much of a dangerous s—-hole the surrounding area has become in the last 15 years. A guy was shot and killed last month outside the corner store I used to ride my bike to and buy baseball cards or candy as a kid. I understand the useful life of the 81 viaduct is past due but the city will continue to get bypassed, regardless of the roadway used, as it continues to become small pockets of good blocks surrounded by vast stretches of bad neighborhoods (like the North Side has become).
