Wow. As ticked as I am at our game, that's bad.

BC QB's where 6/20 74 yards and 1 INT...ouch

Coach Shafer would have called TO for them
That is not even funny. I could actually see that happening with Shafer saying afterwards that the defense was not in a position to make a play.

its even better, check out the ending...

from ESPN http://espn.go.com/college-football/recap?gameId=400756947

"BC had first-and-goal at the 1 with 29 seconds left shortly after Wake Forest quarterback John Wolford fumbled the ball with 56 seconds to play. Boston College's Tyler Rouse ran for no gain, and Jeff Smith spiked the ball as the clock hit :00."

Just saw the highlight. It was a bad play call. A run is too risky. That being said could the refs have moved any slower there?

That can't be. I was lead to believe that those type of attendance numbers only occur at Syracuse. ;)

But Axe will tell you our drop is much further than everyone*

* but will neglect to say that we are counting differently this year and he has no idea how the other schools do it

IMO this relates to the other thread on job Tiers. BC, Duke, and Wake will never have good attendance even when they are good. That is why I consider those schools to be the worst jobs in the ACC. SU and Pitt will always struggle with attendance as well. But tradition helps a lot for both. Plus the Dome makes up for our lack of fan base. If we ever went to an outdoor stadium it would hurt the program IMO. UNC and UVA are wine and cheese crowds who even if they get 55k a game it won't make much of a difference. Clemon, FSU, and VA Tech are the only schools in the ACC with a football culture. NC State is probably the one school who could be there but they are NC State and no one cares about them. GA Tech and Miami have tradition and great local talent which trumps the small fanbases. Louisville is TBD. I think they might be able to create a football culture. As long a Jurich is there I like their chances.

Agree with all. Dome gives us something unique and keeps us from being BC, Duke, Wake. Pitt, GT, Miami all fall into the big city trap that perhaps only USC, Washington, Arizona State avoid at times (I wouldn't put UCLA on there, Rose Bowl is always half empty). Only 3 rabid football fanbases in the ACC (although I don't think FSU travels like they used to). I think Louisville can do it too, but I'm not annointing anything until they bring more than 300 to the Dome like a real school would.
