That was incredible.
I'm not nearly as worked-up about the Penn State thing as some, but of all the clumsy ways ESPN has misused the language over the years, this takes the cake. That was disgraceful. The guy who said that should be suspended for a week and forced to spend 40 hours writing "tragic" and the OED definition of that word on a chalkboard.
