With a couple of notable exceptions (Mr. Dungey, I am looking at you), SU has rerun the same season during the past several decades: Coaches who don't coach very well, players who can't stay healthy, opportunities squandered, failed comparisons to peer schools, and administrations that approach change like the congress approaches the national debt. In addition to exhibiting a defensiveness, irritability, and petulance, understandable given the circumstances, Dino seemed dispirited and defeated in the PC after the game, like a man who knows the end is near and there is nothing that can be done, no effort that can be expended that will make a difference...May the ending be as dignified as possible and may the search for a new leader settle on someone with a capacity to discharge whatever curse has infiltrated SU football.
