... there always seems to be four or five more times the number of guests on line than the number of members? Have always thought that was interesting.

Always wondered if it was accurate.... there always seems to be four or five more times the number of guests on line than the number of members? Have always thought that was interesting.

I think it has been that way from the first board we started on. Pretty sure it is true of all Internet message boards open to the public.Always wondered if it was accurate.
Finally part of the 1%. Good on meIt’s the 90-9-1 rule.
90% are lurkers-9% contribute from time to time and 1% do most of the posting on most sites.
I guess I can comment on this maybe why because I just joined a month or maybe longer ago. I would frequently come to this forum and read comments and to see what peoples opinions were about various topics. I did not join at first because I wanted to see what type of people comment here first. Some forums are so caustic that any comment you make someone is very rude and is looking to just argue. Some forums always drag politics in to it. This forum seems to have members that like to debate in an adult way and leave name calling and politics out of it. Thats just my two cents.
There are over 1,000 "guests", but also over 100 bots (I assume the major search engines, along with ad bots, which is why we ban certain words/phrases, and certain topics on the main board).I think it has been that way from the first board we started on. Pretty sure it is true of all Internet message boards open to the public.
There are a lot of people who like to read threads but are not comfortable posting.
I live in Palm Beach, and my wife and I eat out at restaurants often. Every time we go out to eat, we run into at least one person with an SU shirt or hat on.I don't think that's all surprising. When you think about all the Syracuse fans all over. They probably swing in to catch up on things Syracuse but read the board like a newspaper. Mix in recruits...their families...coaches...lurkers...
Is it the same guy every time? I think I see him every time I go out too.I live in Palm Beach, and my wife and I eat out at restaurants often. Every time we go out to eat, we run into at least one person with an SU shirt or hat on.
