Dino’s Week 2 Wagner Press Conference

Was there any follow-up to this or was this the extent of any discussion of ED’s physical status?

Also, thanks for tracking this OX. Much appreciated.

I never saw anything that lead me to believe injury. I think the majority of that noise came from the announcers who made the assumption bc they couldn’t believe he was still on the sidelines as the lead dwindled.
I thought his shoulder was all taped up. I didn’t notice if he was that way before the start of the game

There was tape that came after he came out, but it’s common. He Took a shot right before and they probably threw it on there. But any type of slight separation would’ve been handled way different.

And outside of a bruise, I can’t think of another injury that would’ve been possible.

Is that the first time Dino ever answered a question in Spanish?

Classic.
I was scrambling for my Spanish - English dictionary but I think I got the translation without it.

Interesting comment on TD being in the wrong stance on 4th and 1. The little things do matter.

And 100% the kind of thing you mess up when the game is too sped up and you’re a freshman. It’s also the kind of thing you don’t do twice.

I think he was talking about Dungey. Did TD take any 4th down snaps?

EDIT: TD got stepped on 3rd and 2. I assume this is what people are assuming Dino is talking about. Who knows if TD was in wrong stance which caused him to get stepped on, or if it was the 4th and 1 with Dungey

I'm going to disagree here. HCDB is one smart man...as I mentioned in another thread, I honestly believe he was attempting to protect ED from the "always injured" moniker. He decided to take the heat for leaving TD in the game as long as he did rather than admit that ED got dinged up. IMO, a class move on his part.

This is quite the script flip, Mrs. Babers.

the snap that TD got stepped on he had hes feet wrong and thats why he got stepped on.. you could see them talking about as he came off the field.

I think he was summarizing "freshman mistakes" at that point, so I think he was referring to TD.

Not only to protect him from the always injured moniker but it also seems like a good idea not to tell upcoming opponents that his right shoulder might be dinged up so they know what to target.
