USC is the job that could open up that scares me about Dino. My 2nd favorite team this year will be USC because I want them to keep winning and stay far away from Dino.

Going to be tough to fire Helton when he is winning 9-11 games most years, Boosters hate him because he lacks charisma and loses out of conference but I still think he's going to be around longer than most USC fans want. The fact is he has been better than any other coach they have had in 30-40 years not names Pete Carroll
USC has gone to the Rose Bowl and Cotton Bowl the last 2 years.
They can’t fire if he goes 8-4 with a true Freshman QB barring a scandal.
That would be crazy.
USC lost a lot from last year including Ronald Jones with Darnold.
Barring from a complete meltdown Helton gets another year atleast.
I get what you are saying. The coach is a lightweight. You just have to wait for a 6-6 year to can him.Well aware. I’m an alum. I don’t know how many times I have to say it. PLAYERS for two years now are going to the media wanting better and tougher practices. We cannot physically out tough ANY P5 power type team. Losing Ronald Jones is not an excuse when you have 5* guys like Stephen Carr and Aca’Cedric Ware next in line. Same scenario say at Georgia when Chubb/Michel are replacing Gurley. You reload at USC or at least should be. 9 penalties against WSU. Helton promises those will be corrected. Well the following week they get 18 against a bad Arizona team and nearly collapse. It’s not good football and obviously unacceptable. Those are just a few of the issues behind the scenes who outsiders don’t understand by just looking at records. They should be in the bowls every year because they play in the PAC 12 South! Wow, beating the Colorados and Arizonas is sure something to be proud of, lol. Again, players are going to the media calling out the practices and staff! That should be sirens going off, red flags, etc., that something is obviously terribly wrong. It’s unbelievable what’s going on truly. Give me a freaking break and get rid of this guy already.

If he goes 8-4 and looking at USC’s schedule that is my guess as @Oregon State is my guess for the WTH loss.
You guys will sweep the South teams and lose to ND.
he ain't winning 9-11 this year.

My USC brethren LOVE him. Lots of talk on the Fight On Forum giving him props and hoping he is a candidate. The level of disgust (and with good reason) with Clay Helton and his rube buddies on the staff is like a tidal wave of negative force.
That schedule isn't very tough. Everything at home except Utah and Oregon State. I don't count UCLA as a road game. Winning 9 wouldn't surprise me.
Fight on! (I don't normally care how they do).
Solich was also failing like Pasqualoni. There’s a reason why he’s still in the MAC since like 05.
SMH. The guy’s record is 24-7 at USC since it became his program. Spoiled football factory fans are the worst.
Agreed about the schedule but I just don't think they're that good based on what I've seen so far.
I don't see them beating ND which would mean they'd have to run the table between now and ND to get to nine. I could see them losing any one of the next three between CU, Utah and ASU.
It would most likely be Utah. Utah is always overhyped because they win one big game every year or so against a team they shouldn't beat. Other than that they just play boring football and get some very lucky turnovers towards the end of games that help them beat the Arizona's of the world.
We have never beaten USC and get them coming off their bye week next Saturday @USC. This may be one of our best chances to beat them, but I do not see it happenening. USC always finds a way to win the games we have managed to keep close with them.
ASU has been a lot better than expected. We all thought the Edwards experiment would get them two wins this year. I think they start to get exposed in conference play.

Lol. Right. That’s it. You obviously didn’t read the countless examples of ineptitude and incompetence I’ve cited. The same response would be happening at Georgia or OSU if they are committing 18 penalties in a game or players going to the media BEGGING for tougher practices. This is not “spoiled football factory fans.” It’s football 101 and incompetence at the top. Give me a break...we play the Colorados and Arizonas then get blown about against good P5 competition with Top 5 recruiting classes. Dan Weber is calling out the staff for god’s sake. It’s basically a mutiny when players are going to the media questioning the practice habits. It’s unbelievable on so many levels that this is happening.
Big game tomorrow between CU and ASU.
Yeah it's deeper than the record. Too often the team looks poorly coached. I don't think anybody is impressed with Helton.

If this was happening at Syracuse we all would be calling for Babers’ head too. But this is happening with 5* guys and Top 5 talent.
