His 2017 team was better than Marrone's 2010 team and P's 2005 team by the numbers. It's dependent on scheduling and bowl tie-ins. Generally, more wins and bowl apperances is a sign of a program in a good spot. We're obviously not in a good spot - but we've been that way for long enough and through a bunch of different HC's - it's not a quick fix scenario and worth being careful in how we measure and decide what to do in the next year or two.
