Dino / Players Postgame Presser | FSU

I think based on what i just saw Dino realizes he either finishes strong or hes gone. The buyout blanket doesn't exist anymore. Covid excuses are gone.
His ability to remain coach at Syracuse University will be based on the remainder of this season. There are no more excuses.

I was encouraged to hear Dino say hopefully we get a bunch of guys back after the bye. And I love Justin Barron’s attitude and demeanor. He’s got future football coach written all over him.

Too bad he couldn't have recruited his HS teammate though, that would have been nice.

Dino was yucking it up at the end of the UNC presser as well. Maybe his fried noodles were ready

That drove me nuts.

Between the laughs and all these teams having NFL players, Dino interviews are near meaningless.
Did anyone else find it odd how little he knows about the other team? He kept talking about “number 4” like it was a breakout game for him.

One last thing here. I’m sorry but I’ve had food poisoning. It is absolutely one of the most physically agonizing and horrible conditions you can experience in your life. Shrader may have had an upset stomach but I find it impossible to believe that he played football with food poisoning. If he legitimately had food poisoning he wouldn’t have left his hotel room to get on a bus to the stadium.

My question is how did he get it? Don’t they eat their meals in controlled setting on the road ? Correct me if I’m wrong but I’m assuming if he had it, several others would too.

I’ve had it twice and it’s crippling. I don’t see how he could possibly even play if he had it. Give him credit if true but doesn’t add up

Yep. I suspect that’s exaggerated. Most people say “food poisoning” when they really just have a stomach bug.

Or it’s one of those McNabb “food poisonings” that was caused by booze.

I think I had food poisoning once. If it wasn’t, it was a damn bad stomach bug. But for 3 days I could barely eat a thing and it felt like my insides were twisting into knots. Came down Saturday night when I woke up and had to throw up (which I only did once). Had to take off work Monday. Finally on day 4 I could eat more than a couple of crackers/some banana. I just laid there for days with a heating pad on my stomach and if I got up it was to use the bathroom, which leaves you very dehydrated. No way you could come close to physical activity let alone football if you were still in the window of any symptoms.

Absolutely never want to experience that again.

Exactly. Hard to believe nobody else had it, and that he could play.

We all know Dino exaggerates a lot and even BS's some. I also don't think Dino is flat out lying - probably just a case of an upset tummy and Shrader probably wasn't feeling 100. But I way no to the food poisoning thing. He's just protecting his guy.

Maybe he picked up something to eat at the airport either before or after landing or he ate something before or after the team meal. It is hard to believe nobody else had it.

More then anything , I can take losses, but Dino lost that bravado he had in his first few years, the job seems to have beaten him down.

I just watched this presser. He didn't have the look of a man whose team just lost a game. Seemed to actually be in pretty good spirits, with at least 3 loud outbursts of laughter.

Really weird that he didn't know Coleman by name. You'd think he would have been muttering that name in his sleep after a week of prepping for this game.

I imagine there are different levels of it. I would also guess nobody really knows for sure if it was food poisoning or some other gastrointestinal ailment. Roto and noro virus can both be pretty bad for a day or so. I think saying food poisoning is a clear easy way of sayjng he was really sick and it was tough for him to even be out there.

Depends? (the product, that is).

Without beating a dead horse (which, if you ate it, might result in food poisoning) here are potential contaminants in food that can result in sickness. They vary in symptom and degree and onset period:

Different levels of food poisoning, It can be very severe , but not always. I got it from a Mcdonald’s once, was pretty bad.
