the far SU player on the sideline didn’t stay in his lane. He crashed towards the center. If he would have stuck in his role, he would have had the ball. The onside kick wasn’t perfect, but we’d have gotten it if everyone did their job.

its almost the same as a DE crashing on a read option, when his responsibility is outside containment. even if the DE thinks he can make the play, he’s stepping towards someone else’s responsibility and leaving his role unfulfilled.
