Fran / Players Postgame Presser | Cal

Syracuse started a unique defensive backfield against California that included safety Berry Buxton III, Jalil Martin, Clarence Lewis, Alijah Clark and Justin Barron.

Traditional starters Duce Chestnut and Devin Grant on the bench. Greg Delaine joined Kerr on the SU depth chart at cornerback behind Lewis and Bellamy.

“We had two other DBs that didn’t start,” Brown said. “We had three guys that were supposed to start. One was late. Another one was loafing in practice two days in a row. And one guy thought that he could talk back to the coach. We had three guys that didn’t start in the secondary.”

Brown said the punishments are part of building a program and getting players to meet his expectations.

“We’re building a program,” Brown said. ”This is the way it’s going to get done. If you don’t like it, ‘Holla at you later, fam.’ Cool thing is there is a portal.

Fran Brown is a gem. Thank you John Wildhack

Does anyone know why there are no post games interviews on YouTube?

Anyone else think the o line played really well. Best pass blocking and run blocking game by the unit by my untrained eye.

Mccord was really in a rhythm with the pass blocking.
The Oline has shown steady improvement IMO

Ibn Mcdaniels would make sense
He crossed my mind, and I know this doesn't mean anything in today's world, but I figured with Fran being the only guy who gave him a shot at this level he would be more understanding of what Coach is doing, which is why I think it's someone else.

If it's him, disappointing

So fresh, so clean.

The defense looked better, moved better, and tackled better. Safeties can be better coming downhill against the run. That’s no time to guess, and flat angles can be worse than a turnover on offense.

The offense hummed. We have become accustomed to long drives, and they are a thing of beauty. The 3rd down conversion rate is top 10 in the country the last time I checked, and that is a sign of a well run unit with leadership at all levels.

Specials getting there one week at a time.
