In the meantime, you can never put all your eggs in one basket. You keep scheduling interviews and conducting them until the deal is done.

I just realized that one of the coaches I work with at my college was on the staff of Brian Ward, Bowling Green's defensive coordinator, back at McPherson College in Kansas in '08 and '09. I may have to wander down the hall to have a conversation...

Turns out the head coach at my school knows him from back in the day, in Arizona, and Brian Ward is actually the connection that got this guy (the defensive coordinator here) his job here when our head coach was hired. What a small world, college football coaching.

EDIT: Turns out my head coach here is actually a good friend of Ward's. Says he's a good coach and an even better man. But sadly, didn't drop any hints and doesn't sound like he actually knows anything ("I've been wondering where he'll wind up").
