What if he's never run it before?

Oh I assume he hasn’t t so the prep would have to start today with first team reps. It’s not ideal but anything is better than what we saw last Saturday.

Is it? I don't know that I want a guy that may have never run the triple oprtion pitching the ball backwards while getting hit. That's a recipe for a fumble return for a touchdown.

That’s a good point. I just don’t want to see the same offense again this Saturday.

I get that. It's more about executing better than it is changing scheme though. And we won't get better offense asking a new quarterback to do something different than what he's been practicing all season.

Another reason why I think that IF we must roll with CDRW this Saturday, the triple option should be strongly considered.

CDRW isn’t a natural running QB like ED and GS were, despite people trying to label him as one. Running a triple option is a lot more complicated than people think, you can’t just roll it out for a game with no experience doing it. The potential for turning the ball over is really high asking a QB and 2 backs to do something they’ve never done and make micro second decisions. Not even taking into account the OL can’t run block in a system they’re familiar with. Running blocking for a triple option is a whole other ball game.
