“We’re excited about our non-conference start at 3-1. We’re ready to start ACC play.” - Coach Babers on the overall state of the team before ACC play begins this weekend.

Dino Babers is asked about the QB situation: “We won the game.” Said Garrett Shrader was “decent” in the run game. Knows improvement is needed in the air attack.

Babers said he told the QBs that whoever played best the previous week will start. He reiterated that means Shrader will be first up vs. Florida State.

Babers said he’s sat down 1 on 1 with Tommy DeVito since the Liberty game. Wants to keep his side of that conversation private. Babers said DeVito and Shrader know what the rep breakdown will be for this week of practice.

Babers talks about the mishaps on the offensive line against Liberty. "I don't think he's ever had four bad snaps total throughout his entire career."

Babers speaks on the personality of Sean Tucker. "Tucker is one of those guys, you better be really funny to get him to smile."

Babers said RB Jarveon Howard is no longer a member of the program. He entered the transfer portal this morning.

Babers didn’t share any specifics on the return timeframe for TE Luke Benson. Not any optimism that he’s ready to return for FSU, but a vague response.

Babers speaks on the leadership of Mikel Jones and how professional he is on and off the field. "Mikel is like a graduate assistant coach. He is very very professional and working like he wants to be a pro."

Babers implied that Shrader has definitely had better days throwing the ball than he did vs. Liberty. Not many specifics on what’s being emphasized in practice, but it doesn’t sound like dramatic change.

Babers speaks on the eligibility of Chris Elmore playing this weekend. "I'm not going to answer that question because I don't think it's my right to answer the question." Elmore indicated on social media that he may be back this weekend.
