Yeah, new OC and mediocre skill guys - especially after losing our two best RBs. We knew all that.

Hopefully the OL gels as the year goes on. We saw the benefits of that late last year when the line finally came together. Most of the line is back next year, I believe? This year is about development.

I thought they looked good even when our D was keeping them in check. It was clear their skill players were legit after the opening drive. Even if we got the 24-7 lead we could/should have at halftime good chance they come back and we lose.

National title contender - no could they beat most of the SEC - yes.

It was no big deal. UNC is better than us this year. Everybody knows it. This is their year in the sun. We had ours two years ago.

Our season will be determined by how we do against Pitt, GT, Duke, Wake, NC State, BC...

Next 4 are hopefully much more winnable, and we’ll find out a lot about where we stand.

I thought it was terrible. He acted like the loss was no big deal. Zero fire, zero accountability, a bunch of fluff. Total cliches. " We win and lose as a team"... He is a little too cool for school after getting his head handed to him.

He was not playing on the field the players were. He cannot criticize the players publicly after the first game. He did point out the problems on offense.

I know but...game 1. Lots of new coaches. Against a team that is universally considered better than us. In a, let’s face it, throwaway year across the board.

There is a term in fantasy football called “JAG”. Often referred to running backs... “just another guy”. Seems like we’ve got many. Not a knock on them, but I don’t see the wow factor. Jordan has potential for sure. Need to see a lot more and he was not put in positions to succeed today.

Correct. He's not the type to toss people under the bus in public especially with the media. Behind closed doors, it's probably a 180. Even in families, people who act out of line are disciplined.

We had a shot and blew it. This is what happens in like 80% of these games. Had we capitalized, it would have looked like the other times we beat a ranked opponent under Dino

If UNC had outplayed us you can live with it. They played their C game today.

I think we need a tougher coach. I don't see him ripping his shirt off or eating oysters still in the shell. Needs to do more tough guy stuff. Press conferences are stupid. Tough guys eat cigarettes and break whiskey bottles over their heads. They don't talk to the media.

your post was about unc playing poorly. I said that syracuse (was referring to defense) should get some credit for that. Saying syracuse made terrible plays does not respond to my comment. If anything, it cuts against the point of your original post, which was unc beat the bejesus out of us with their c game; i.e., the result should have been much worse for syracuse. Your response to me, however, infers we had a chance but were our own worst enemy.

I honestly think he knows what he has with this team and knows they aren’t very good. I think in a way he knows this is what his tenure will be here and the reality has set in.

If he’s resigned to that fate then he should quit now. He’s paid millions to figure this out.

Have you ever played a sport? You play to win every second of every game. That is the meaning of competition. Every game is a big deal and this was winnable. With that attitude why bother playing games you can’t win. You’re very millennial with that statement
