Dion will be another guy who loves JB like Melo. I think all the guys on the olympic team speak highly of him as well.

That Cavs backcourt could be really good. If Irving finally stays healthy, Waiters continue to improve and plays like he did around Feb-March of last year, and Jack continues to play like he has the last few seasons, that could be one of the best backcourts in the league. I hope to see it happen.

Agreed its a very good rotation where all 3 can kind of play either spot. Jack probably the closest to a pure PG but all are kind of just guards who can handle, pass and SCORE it very well.

They have to put in the effort on defense. As talented as Irving and Waiters are on the offensive end (assuming Waiters has his head on straight and isn't trying to be a 3 point shooter first and a penetrator second), they completely negated it last year with their defense. They'd put up 40 points between the two of them but give up 50-60 to their matchups.

My gut tells me Cleveland is going to continue to struggle for another year or two while they learn how to play defense together. As of now, they have defensive liabilities at over half of their positions. And I still need to see Waiters consistently know that shooting is not his strength. If he can't do that, he'll never be more than a good sixth man/Monta Ellis type where everyone knows he's very talented but nobody really wants him to start on their team.

He became the #4 pick under Boeheim, and he credited Boeheim for quite a bit of his development too.

Eat it.

Dion was never a starter under Boeheim. If JB had started him over Triche, mayhe no #4 pick? Hmmm.

I admit to not understanding either . . . . . althoug I'm half a bottle in so who knows.

Agree. I have no clue what he meant there?!? Lol

He meant that if Boeheim hadn't given Dion "the treatment", he may never have matured enough to be the player he has become. He could have been another Deshawn Williams.
