Yeah, you're absolutely right. His getting drafed fourth means he's a very good shooter and defender against professionals.

Brilliant.
Everyone was talking about the draft and were wrong. BTW, Dion shot 36% /3pt, 73%/FT and 48% from the field. Most people on this board think that James is a great shooter. Then Dion must be JJ Reddick because Dion was a way better shooter than James this past year. And Dion's shooting stats this past year are better than a lot of highly regarded alums. Take the time and look it up while taking your foot out of your mouth. Brilliant. When JB says he is "the most NBA ready guard he has ever had" then maybe you should listen.

Yes, that's a fantastic analysis. Because Dion shot 36% from 21 feet in 37 games against college competition means he's certainly going to be a good NBA shooter. That he was drafted fourth also means he's going to be a very good shooter and defender. And, of course, because Jim Boeheim - who is never given to hyperbole when speaking about his players - made some off-the-cuff remark about him, that also means Dion's certain to be a great professional.

Just stop. You're not even pretending to have a passing familiarity with logic.

(And, though I can't imagine what James Southerland has to do with any of this, you're betraying your ignorance to claim that someone who shot 41/113 from three is a "way better shooter" than someone who shot 37/110 this season.)
