Dion the saga continues...

I have no problem with Dion saying they are trying to go undefeated just like I had no problem with the kid from Lville saying the same thing.

I think Dion is on the right track but he could take some advice from Crash Davis:

Crash Davis: You're gonna have to learn your clichés. You're gonna have to study them, you're gonna have to know them. They're your friends. Write this down: "We gotta play it one day at a time."

Ebby Calvin LaLoosh: Got to play... it's pretty boring.

Crash Davis: 'Course it's boring, that's the point. Write it down.

Yeah, I don't get it. I actually thought the original poster was using Dion's quote sarcastically to show how much of team player Dion has become. To me, the quote is a very positive thing. It shows how Dion has bought into the team concept and is so passionate about winning. If he said something like, "I want to be the leading scorer on the team" or "I wish I got a few more minutes"--THAT would've been troubling.

That's why I was concerned when he seemed to be mouthy to JB and sulking on the bench in the Bucknell game. Dion, to me, is our most important player. We know what we're getting from Kris every game. Dion can lead us to the promised land as a playmaker for us.

You're either 12 and have no idea what you're saying. Really stupid. Or got burned by Dion for an autograph. Regardless--terrible post.
I know sarcasm doesn't translate well on the internet ... but relax.

I swear if I ever stop watching SU sports it won't be because of the team(s)' or the school, it will be because of the fickle fans. It really gets tiring to hear all of the bitching and moaning that goes on.

I feel the same way sometimes. Some followers (I'll refrain from calling them fans) make it a little difficult to watch this team (I'm looking at you, guy behind me who spent every moment complaining last night, then left five minutes early).

Boeheim hit the nail on the head when he claimed that some people are just genetically wired to dislike certain players, on-court performance be damned.

In this vein, I've been watching 1990 and 1991 games on Time Warner recently and have been struck by the utter lack of groans and boos from the crowd when Autry, Edwards, and Hopkins made poor turnovers or Ellis got beaten for a rebound. There's a stark contrast between that and the game broadcasts in recent seasons - crowd dissatisfaction is audible when Scoop makes a turnover, Triche misses a shot, or Keita fails to get a rebound. It's unrealistic to expect perfection from these players in a fast-paced game, and this ignorant fan behavior makes the game somewhat less pleasant.

It was pure sarcasm intended to offset the negative Bucknell Dion post :D

This has been my favorite team since the 03 team. Love how we have three solid guys to take people off the dribble.

I'm assuming your goal was to get a thread with as many responses as possible - posting cryptic, seemingly asinine things is a great way to do that. Because I'm a "team first" guy (like Dion), I'm going to help you achieve your goal.
Or maybe , as his screen name implies, he's only 13 years old and loves the attention!

couchburn What the heck is this, anyway?
I don't know, but I may start using it randomly to make sure it never gains any true meaning. Also because it makes me a laugh a little.

Or maybe logically, I was just trying to offset the negative post about Dion after the Bucknell game as stated before.

I guess we will never know but my intentions were selfish.
MUHAHAHAHAHA!

HAHAHAHA I am the evil 13 year old.
I will talk about all our strengths with sarcasm.

MWAHAHAHAHAHAHAcouchburn.

KJO is not the leader we expected. He is to confident in his jumpshot. Its detrimental to the team.

Scoop thinks he is better then he is. What good does he think he is accomplishing dribbling? Instead he should be passing the ball to the right side of the freethrow line for Keita, becuase that is our best offense.

Brandon Triche lacks the confidence to knock down a three ball.

MWAHAHAHAHAHA!!!!

this is just a brilliant post . . . random stats, unrelated links . . . this is almost as good as the legendary Rockslide7

yeah I fixed the above Moqui. ;)
Point is Dion is getting it done.

There really isn't anything negative to say about this team. For all we know they might not even need to get much better to be the clear best in the land. Maybe our one ranking isn't as premature as some probably think.

Happy Holidays!!!
