I get social media is here to stay, and people will comment or project whatever insecurities they have on to people who are happier and more successful than them. However, this kind of behavior NEEDS to stop. I see it in all of sports but none more like NCAA athletics.

Fran represents every acronym in D.A.R.T, and Is a strong, confident, passionate, and most importantly, a man who has EARNED his respect. With those kind of characteristics, it’s not surprising that we see hatred & trolling by opposing fan bases. It comes with the territory for any team. However, the amount of racist, distrustful & hateful comments I’ve seen made of Fran this season needs to be addressed. I understand it’s the internet, I’m not trying to police free speech but sometimes enough is enough. I’m tired of racist Miami and Georgia tech fans calling Fran brown the N word or saying things like “he should go back to the hood where he belongs”.

Enough is enough. If you see comments like this being made by an immature loser with no life or future, please make sure you report the comments, don’t just ignore them. For whatever reason, college football breeds hatred from a lot of fan bases, if not most. Below is just one example, I’m not going to post the 100’s i have seen dating back to last season…

I see Miami fans are taking that loss well still. Gross

That’s terrible. I’ve seen some veiled racism but nothing so blatant.

Yep I’ve seen other fanbases call Fran the n word at least 4-6 different times. Most of the time it’s, “go back to the hood” or “keeping stereotypes alive”. Sometimes it’s lowkey racist ones that aren’t as crude or blatant but still racist like “why does he talk like that? Great example for young men”…

Hate speech is ruining America!
Many who go off on message boards wouldn’t have the courage to say it to anyone’s face!
Yep! Social media is really rotting the minds of our youth and basically every age in general! It gives them the courage to type out hateful things without having that same kind of courage otherwise in real life.

What we should do is on every post like this if we know what team they represent start reposting it and tagging every recruit and current player and ask 1 simple question … “is this the type of person you want cheering for you?”

I love how he talks. It's authentic, and for a lot of recruits I'm sure relatable. He's not some legacy hire, he's a football coach who made it, and they can too.
He talks like a man with confidence and I love everything he says. I’m up early and late to listen to everything I might have missed that he’s said to the media. I feel very comfortable 100 percent of the time with him leading our program.

Until people learn to be colorblind this type of behavior will continue. We are all part of the human race, and need to start acting like it.
That's what Up With People was about.
I apologize for the rant.
It’s unfortunate that there will always be losers no matter what. And now they have a “voice” through social media. I learn to ignore keyboard warriors. I judge humanity off the people I communicate with in real life or else I would lose all hope in humanity. The vast majority of real people are really great. It’s almost like those online twitter people aren’t real to me even though I know they are. It’s a weird and sad world that people still resort to childish weak minded thoughts.
