If Dixon takes the USC job it wouldn't shocke me if Pitt offered Ben Howland the job and he bolted. UCLA alumni hate Howland's performance even though he got them to 3 straight Final Fours. Howland could go back to Pitt and not have the ridiculous fanbase of UCLA.

Indeed. Once in the NCAA's, the refs generally don't allow Pitt to get away with their physical, pushing, bump & grind style that we all have become accustomed to in Big East play. Been thinking the same thing. Give him an offer he cant refuse and bring him to lead his alma mater into the new best conference in the country. Only thing would be tough is to make him a good enough offer because he's got it going pretty good with recruiting at Arizona and Arizona I assume is much better to live than Pittsburgh.

Dixon has been under consideration for the USC job since last January when O'Neill was fired. Odd that it he has been strung out for this long. Makes me think there is significant objection to his selection
