Bear’s Cousin Philip Williams 6’3 285lbs. DLineman Will be better than Bear Ever was!!

I’m Back!….& mark my words my nephew Philip Williams 6’3 285lbs. DL (@ North Ft. Myers High in Florida) is gonna dwarf everything my son (& his cousin Bear) ever did in college football.
Philip Williams c/o 2025

He’s faster straight line & laterally than Bear ever was.

My other newphews (@ Somerset Academy in Pembroke Pines Florida) Caleb & Bryce Williams ( a sophomore & freshman (5’11 4.458 40 laser time & 6’1 4.56 laser time) are already on Nick Monroe’s radar & Deon Sanders wants all 3 of them at his summer camp.

Idk WTBlank Cuse recruiting department is doing but you see how FSU is kicking butt with Florida players in fact, Randy Shannon even watched my nephews practice.

One thing is certain & two thing are sure…NO ONE REDSHIRTS in my family!

Are you or your son in contact with any of the coaches?
Nick Monroe stays in contact with everyone in Florida but he’s not at SYRACUSE anymore, but He’s salivating especially over the younger two who are starting varsity as a sophomore & freshman respectively. Caleb a 5’11 sophomore & Bryce at 6’1 freshman…..there is nothing but upside.
Plus, Deion Sanders wants all three of them to come to his camp in Colorado this summer. That
Speaks volumes by itself.

Are you and Bear more likely to support Syracuse or Coach Monroe? Obviously there is a lot in play, a possible coaching change…
My support always goes Coach Babers, and he knows why. If Philip commits more than likely my other two nephews will commit also because they want to play together again like they did throughout Little League.

There is so much parity in the NFL and college football in general. Look at Bama, look at Clemson, they were ones dominant and are no more look at FSU. They were the doormat, and now they’re on top. As fans we have to understand the worst thing you can do is change coaches.

If you look at Coach Babers, he is always right at the point of breakthrough before his players and coaches are recruited by other universities.

What makes a program a program is stability in the coaching staff the worst thing that SYRACUSE can do is change coaches.

Stay with Babers and ride it to the end!

People have no idea how many times his staff that he picks is always recruited by other universities. More importantly, how his players are recruited by other schools.

Just when we get to the point where we have quality depth that could help us win a conference championship there a bevy of people who speak with our players and they are cashswayed ( not persuaded/ because you can’t trace cash ) to other schools.

People don’t realize how hard it is to win in college football nowadays, especially at this level because everyone has people who are running 4.4 and 4.5s on offense and defense. One wrong coaching decision is six points and it can cause a coach there job more importantly when you have alumni and fans who are willing to put money behind those players and get them to come to their schools that’s where the competition really heats up.

Unfortunately, Syracuse fans will complain, but they will never put their money where their mouth is, so they need to just shut the hell up; Trust the process and support Coach Babers because that is the only way you build a program….credibility and stability & by supporting your head coach.

Once your university, gets the reputation of not supporting their head coach it will be even harder to get great coaches to come there.

At Virginia Tech coach Beamer always got average to below average players he did what Coach Babers did and coached players up & signed players that no one else wanted. Everyone knew that his assistant will be there for a very long time people and parents would trust their players with him because they knew he would be there until they graduated. That’s how Virginia Tech built their program. In its heyday and they did not win all the time but every now and then the top of the University of Miami, Florida State and top 10 teams. One thing you knew about Virginia Tech in those days is they had one tough defense with people who were not recruited and they will surprise you and beat you at any time. But that’s what makes college football college football not knowing if you’re going to win or not - having the fans, laugh and joke, and the suspense of winning or losing while drinking a cold beer and having fun with the alumni is what it’s all about.

So rally behind Coach Babers, and if you are a true Orangemen rally behind your team. Win loose or draw be Orange.

As a side bar, you always wanna head coach like Coach Babers, who rights the ship away from all types of scandals that players at other college programs get into and keeps the program name clean because quality players who are looking for NFL futures understand it’s all about statistics and playing time.

But we need to get MORE players from Florida if you plan on winning anything!!!

GO Orange !!!

Awesome, I truly believe what you state. Depth has been the primary culprit literarily since Dino got here, literarily every single year. I believe Schrader was hurt before the Clemson game, at least. He is such a competitor and I suspect he was just gutting through some things, when the work load increased it progressively got worse. Injuries and attrition from the other spots with pre-existing depth issues to begin with created havoc. I know of several Florida kids who I knew personally when I was in school here including Dee Brown. I honestly believe any player who really wants to embrace Syracuse from anywhere ends up truly remembering their time here as some of the best years ever. I could say so much more. As for coach if his recruiting was to improve he would become a Legend, I am not saying national championship caliber teams but certainly on the level of Mac from a global perspective, ambassador for what is right. That is why he has so many people rooting for him and staff.

Because of personnel, he had to recalibrate approach drastically. He doesn't seem to throw anybody under the bus, no matter what I pray he states true to himself and his heart beliefs. Go orange

I am hoping we are or u and other people are opening eyes to coach about other people knowing football and recruits. as we have talked before, he needs to be open with all recruits and any help that comes with it. Hope u and Bear are doing good. Glad ur nephews are studs. We need that desperatel.

No other p-5 program would give a guy with his results 8 YEARS. The last thing SU has to worry about is having a reputation of not supporting their head coach.

Help me out here-In the same thread you say you don't know what the Syracuse recruiting department is doing and haven't reached out to your nephew, but should also rally behind the coach who is in charge of everything, including that very recruiting department? This while returning to the site for the 1st time after disappearing for a few years and telling the fanbase they should shut up.

Now that Monroe is gone, do we have any coaches recruiting Florida?

Nah, why even bother?

Who could possibly recruit better than Swag Daddy?
And, it's not like we've got a ton of FL dudes on the roster or anything.

I'm sure Dino and crew are just gonna focus on the other states now.

Dear Orange Passion, I haven't reached out to my nephew regarding commitments because that's never discussed until after the season so kids stay focused on the business at hand.

Second, any fan base should rally behind the head coach at their respective school. Albeit everything is under the umbrella of football, including the recruiting department; sometimes people are more concerned about their job security than the program as a whole.

The reason I removed myself was because I had a pipeline as a former SGA president at an HBCU and FIU in Miami with a multiplicity of players and coaches including St. Thomas Aquinas and Plantation American Heritage (& I was the first Black coach there), as well as Miami Central, Miami Northwestern, and football powerhouses in Miami Dade & Broward. An Orange staff member said to my son "tell your dad that I don't need any help recruiting"...so as a father, I know how people can be petty - I backed off. One staff member who knows me VERY well begged me to let it ( the comment ) go which I did.

I did so for Bear's sake because unlike most people on this forum: if that person had done anything in a retaliatory manner against my son there would be no lawsuits, no punches thrown, no meeting with the administration, just me in an orange jumpsuit. So I removed myself for the sake of my son. The only game I attended was the FSU game in Florida Bear's last year after that. I never had any communication with anyone until Bear graduated.

So for the record, I only attended two Cuse games in person not because I couldn't, but to protect my son's collegiate career.

So please don't take anything out of context...and if there was any misinterpretation I'll take responsibility for that (;I'm not a journalist). But no I don't know what they are doing. As far as telling the fanbase to shup up. That's the has been college football player in me, as well as the football coach in me. I've learned that unless a fan puts their money in the program they are not really committed. The dollar amount is infinitesimal - even if its only a thousand bucks towards recruiting.

For example, Orande Gadson is a good football player, but his teammate was even more of an impact player than he was just overlooked.

That's water under the bridge.

BTW: This is a link to a DLINE player Andrew Stone Jr. North Fort Myers High School. I just spoke to his coach (Coach Riggins). He will commit to Cuse immediately if they offer and he is qualified. HE WILL NOT REDSHIRT!!

SO TAKE A LOOK ORANGE PASSION & TELL ME IF YOU THINK HE WILL HELP US OUT.

I'd also like to thank you for the dialog because it helps us ALL get perspective about our program.

I think we should focus on Maine. Cold weather dudes are tougher.
REALLY? lol
I like your concept, but there are a ton of dudes that ae not ranked in Florida because they are recruited from high school to high school and have gotten more money than the NIL offers in college football now. Where do you think they got the concept from? South Florida.

Here is a Andrew Stone Jr. who will come in and play as a true freshman at Cuse. & I spoke to his Coach (Riggins) who got the green light from his Mother sign with Cuse.

So we will see what happens AGAIN...
