Amen, my friend. I don't know why some folks get so up in arms over this. Happens everywhere. Yeah, we want to hold onto Montgomery, but as others have said, lots of turnovers in the assistant coaching staff.

Agreed.

And I know this wasn’t an official, but if a recruit goes on five official recruiting trips during the school year, those will probably be the most fun five nights of their young life thus far. I know they were for me.

Never fault a kid for taking his visits and doing his due diligence.

I have no issue with kids taking all the visits they want. My issue is visiting after committing. Just don’t commit, check everyone out and make a commit when know all the information.

That's fair, I hear ya there. I guess sometimes these kids get caught up in an amazing visit to one school and commit, but then after taking a step back, they want to explore all options to make sure they're good with that initial commitment. Hard for me to oppose that; after all, these are teenagers.

It's no longer just five OVs that recruits can take. More like unlimited fun and games.
 
Flipping our defensive coaching staff was absolutely necessary but the downside is other staffs likely have longer relationships with many of these kids. I like our new coaches, but man they have some ground to make up. We do have a ringer though with Dwight Freeney on our staff.

wouldn’t worry too much. Fran is a top-five recruiter in the sport, and he’ll get guys. If we have a strong season this year, that’ll only help even more. From what I’ve been reading on Rivals, we’re going after multiple big-time targets, so let’s see if we can land any in this class.
