Do you miss playing Rutgers??

When did you start watching SU Football?

I enrolled at SU in 1991.

Prior to that I followed eastern college football since the early 1980s.

I look forward to the assumptions you will make and the lecture you will give me now that you know that bit of information.

Not really. Rutgers was so bad for so long I just didn't care about them. And I am talking from a 52 year olds perspective...

Pstate Maryland Pitt BC WV Army Navy those are the teams i enjoyed seeing us play. Wish we could play Pstate every year. Rotate the between Army and Navy used to love seeing them in Archbold

I miss playing SU. Easy road trip up I-81. Miss meeting many of you in the Fine Lot. Miss Dinosaur BBQ. Miss sitting in the rafters of the Carrier Dome, which is a fantastic place to be. Hate that we're not in an eastern conference, but thankful that we're not knashing our teeth.

Don't miss playing Rutgers at all. I never had the pleasure of meeting you, but I do miss your posts. Wolfpack Al can't hold a candle to you.

I'll miss it. It was a true team that we all loved to hate. The old rivalries died with destruction of the Big East. Rutgers offered a geographical rivalry with a battle for recruits and an attempt to actually have bragging rights. Plus, I hate everything New Jersey. It's the butthole of the US. Why does it smell so bad there?

I am in favor of scheduling a home and home with Rutgers. When we were in the same league, we never had a true high level rivalry on the field but the potential for establishing one is there. As a fan who goes to a lot of away games, it would be nice to have one that takes less than 4 hours to drive to. Don't think we are going to play anymore games at MetLife Stadium so a series would Rutgers would fill that void for the NYC area Syracuse fans.

If the series proves popular, perhaps it would merit making it more of an annual game.

Wait a minute! What was all that 1942 stuff?

I'd like to see it; we shouldn't be above playing anyone, especially a Big Ten school. As much as Rutgers fan can be irritating online, I'll be rooting for them against Penn State.

of course i miss playing them.

historically it was a win, and now that they are competitive and basically selling out, it wouldve made for a great game.

the ACC not being in jersey an absolute freakin joke and Syracuse not playing there often is not good.

while wv was the better team and game, id rather have you guys in my backyard back on the sched.

those 2 represent the only teams i miss.

for the ACC is infinetly the better place for the Orange than anywhere else and despite the fact that the b1g would put more fat cny fannies in the seats in the fall than the ACC does or will.
